Our Mission is to provide young artists opportunities to spread the joy of professional opera to communities that do not have easy access to the arts.

Directions to Hagerstown Performances

How does one get from Seville to a much more 'Distant Land'?

Oddly enough, the same way you get to Carnegie Hall

We've finally caught our breath from two fabulous weekends of Carmen.  What a run!  We were so glad to see so many returning faces, and so many new faces as well!  We hope you loved experiencing Carmen as much as we loved crafting the production for you.  From the opening notes of the overture to Carmencita's last breath, it's fair to say that both artists and audience alike cast their entire heart into each performance.

Our love labors not for just one show, though; having caught said breath we have begun to work on our next season.  We have chosen our Autumn production, which those of you who came to Carmen know is going to be Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, where young Tamino and his feathered pal Papageno are caught between the Queen of the Night and Sarastro in the young men's attempt to find love in a distant land where the old ways find themselves up against forces of reason and enlightenment (and a lot of really good music, we might add).

But when - you cry! - when can we come to see Die Zauberflöte?  Ah.

The members of our email mailing list will be the first to learn of the performances dates, and we'll be publishing those right here a day or so after that email goes out.

So friends, Opera Lovers, devotees of Philosphy and feathers alike:  stay tuned for Just Another Night at the Opera!

And as always:  Thank you!
