Looking back on Lucia

What a weekend, what a production, what a great cast and crew, and certainly what a great audience!  The performances were wonderful and you, our audience, seemed genuinely moved by the performances.  So much so that our Enrico, Mr. Joshua Brown, received boos for the evil-ness he so adroitly protrayed on stage.  Bravo, Mr. Brown, and bravi to everyone who worked so hard to bring this production to you this past weekend.  See our overview for information on the production that was below.

As always, we can't do it without your help!  Click our Donate! link to read more about how you can help us keep bringing you just another night at the opera!

Lucia di Lammermoor overview

Set against the moors of Scotland, a young girl becomes the pawn of a volatile feud between the Ravenswood and Ashton families. Based on Sir Walter Scott's classic novel, The Bride of Lammermoor, Lucia Ashton and Edgardo of Ravenswood conceal their forbidden love. However, plagued by financial setbacks, Enrico Ashton forces his sister, Lucia, into an arranged marriage to a powerful political figure. With Gaetano Donizetti's exquisite score, this psychological thriller is a roller-coaster of love, deception, murder, and suicide that can only spiral into sheer madness...
